In this study, academic procrastination levels in the educational life of university students who do sports and do not do sports are examined in terms of different variables such as age and gender. The participants consisted of 364 students attending at Gazi University, Hacettepe University and Ankara University. While 180 of these students do sports, 184 students do not play sports. “The Academic Procrastination Scale” developed by Yorulmaz, Çakıcı ve Gülebağlan, (2003) was administered to the participants. This scale includes the tasks that students are responsible for doing in their learning life, such as studying, preparing for exams, preparing projects, and also a total of 19 statements, 12 of which are negative, 7 of which are positive for the students. The Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient was found to be .92.The collected data were analyzed by using ANOVA and the findings revealed that non- sports participant students showed more academic procrastination behaviors than sports the participating.
