Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the problems of the teacher's professional, social and economic conditions. Descriptive scanning method was used in the study. The study group of the study constitutes 300 teachers in primary, secondary and high school in Çankırı. In the selection of the study group, accessible sampling method was used. In order to collect the data of the study, three parts data collection tool was developed. Your scale was tested for validity and reliability. The arithmetic mean of the participation levels in the opinions on the 15 items regarding the personal rights of the teachers ranged from 1.42 to 2.49 It is understood that the arithmetic average of all items is 1.85. Teachers have found that they have never participated in 7 items related to personal rights, and that they have very little attended to 8 items. The level of participation of the teachers in the opinions about the rights of the personnel shows a meaningful difference according to sex, but does not show any significant difference according to their duties. It is also stated that the improvement of personal rights will contribute to the increase of professional dignity. It has also become clear that the most important contribution to the improvement of professional, social and economic conditions can be made by the Ministry of National Education, that salary and additional tuition fees should be increased firstly in order to improve conditions, that this increase will develop the most professional prestige and that verbal rhetoric is lost.
