China has become the country that produces the most e-waste in both Asia and the world with 7.2 million tons of e-waste in 2016. In this study, it is aimed to investigate e-waste disposal, recycling and management problems through Chinese country sample. In this study, the topic of e-waste disposal and recycling will be discussed by literature review from a managerial, social and environmental point of view. In this framework it will be addressed the sources of e-waste, e-waste efforts and legal arrangements, informal and formal sector practices on e-waste, and the problems and challenges faced in China. The problems and challenges related to e-waste in China include the problem of illegal e-waste import; problems of e-waste collection and financing, technological inadequacy, lack of ecological design in the formal sector; human and environmental health problems and the problem of intervention and regulation in the informal sector; management and implementation difficulties. As a result, China needs holistic approaches that will take into account regional problems and challenges.
