Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the levels of internet addiction of the students studying at the faculty of education and the gender, class level, income levels, mother education levels, father education levels, parental relationship status, daily internet usage frequencies. The sample of the descriptive research consisted of 212 education faculty students who are continuing their education in 2017-2018 academic year. Data collection tools are in the form of 'Personal Information Form' and 'Internet Addiction Scale'. Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis H tests were used. 51.9% of the students participated in the study, 46.7% of them use internet for 4-6 hours a day. The level of internet addiction of the students is moderate. It was found that men have more problems in social relations. In addition, it was determined that students with more than the daily internet usage time were more internet addicted than those with less.
