Abstract

Educational policies that condition the lives of immigrant individuals can trigger individuals to become more equal, successful and integrated citizens, as well as being completely out of society. The education of immigrants not only depends on certain problems but also on the various factors of the education system, up to the effects of the existence of a good education system or the expansion of education. Regarding the new conditions of the Spanish education system due to the growing immigration phenomenon, one of the main difficulties encountered is the concentration of immigrant students in a few Autonomous Communities and the wide diversity of the country according to their country of origin. In this context, the central and Autonomous Communities have planned special measures in the field of education in relation to the specific challenges of immigrant students. The aim of this article is to show how educational policies for immigrants affect the integration of these students into the school. In this framework, Spain, which has a large number of young immigrant population, will focus on current education policies and the impact of these policies on immigrant students on the integration of schools.
