Abstract

After the imprisonment of free officers, Egyptian foreign policy concentrated on Arab nationalism politics, trying to establish an influence on the Arab world against imperialism. Especially during the Nasser period, Egypt became a political instrument in the geopolitical sense, being a center of the Arab world, and on this account Egypt defined itself as a bridge between the international and regional states system. For this reason, Arab nationalism was used as a political tool to provide adequate support in the Middle East against imperialism. The economic and military dependence of Egypt during the Nasser period was recorded in the Eastern bloc from the Western bloc. This was the basic foreign policy of Egypt during the Nasser period. However, this foreign policy ended with the death of revolutionary leader Jamal Abdul Nassir. Enver Sadat came to power after Jamal Abdul Nassir. Along with Enver Sedat's leadership in the country, the change in Egyptian foreign policy manifested itself. As a result of this change, Egyptian dependence is recorded in the Western bloc from the Eastern bloc. For this reason, relations between Egypt and the United States were reorganized. Later on, Sadat set new policies to reshape the Egyptian economy with a Socialist structure. With this new policy, which is defined as a policy of opening, the Egyptian economy was tried to integrate with the international liberal economy . In short, Sadat Egypt was eager to have a liberalized economy. On the other hand, Egypt's security approaches have been transformed. As a result of such a transformation, a peace treaty was signed between Israel and Egypt, thus ending the perceived threat between the two sides. But this peace agreement between Egypt and Israel, the Egyptian Ar [*] caused the world to be in its place.
