Abstract

In the study of architectural constructions, historical documents and records describing the period of construction constitute an important place. It gives important information about the construction plan, construction process, employees, organization, period construction system and technology. Over time, due to natural disasters and sometimes the needs of the community, changes in the structure can occur. At this stage, too, structure readings and inspections are introduced to understand the changes that the circuitry has undergone. In order to make healthy evaluations, both in the historical process and in the knowledge and documentation that illuminate the construction process, there is a need to place them on the spot. In this study, Sultan Ahmed Külliyesi water structures will be handled extensively in the framework of the archive documents such as the official seal boks (ruznamçe, resm, mühimme defterleri) and the data obtained as a result of on-site inspections.
