Metaphoric studies are practical field researchs. Accordingly, the main aim of this research is to reveal the perceptions of the students of Sinop University Faculty of Divinity on the concept of "Sociology" through metaphors. The study group of the study created 106 students who graduated from Sinop University Faculty of Divinityy in 2017-2018 academic year. However, the metaforth produced by the four students who were not suitable for the purpose of the research was eliminated and a total of 102 students participated. These students are the first students of the school and have taken courses in sociology of religion. The data of the study were collected by qualitative research method and analyzed by content analysis technique. Each student has a “Sociology… like this; because…” completing the sentence has been obtained. According to the results of the research, the students produced 59 metaphors valid for the concept of sociology.
