Abstract

The internal rebellions that had started shortly before the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly continued to expand, strengthen, diversify and lead to loss of life and property on the days following the opening of the parliament. This phase of the National Struggle led to great concern in the patriots who started to gather in the Turkish Grand National Assembly and in Ankara, but the problem was solved by the tactical-strategy and military measures applied. Although the disturbance that emerged in Beypazarı was not a big rebellion by itself, the deputies and Mustafa Kemal Pasha had a socio-psychological approach to the situation. The closeness of the rebellion area created social-psychological worries and left painful memories as well as increasing the violence of the anxiety felt. The aim of this study is to examine the legal, social and psychological effects of the Beypazarı rebellion on Ankara. Turkish Independence War is not an easy achievement. Being proud of this success is a right, but the treachery and the suffering on the road to victory should not be forgotten. In other words, historicism should be gotten out of enjoying the pleasure from past victories and should be faced with the period of paying the price for that pleasure.
