Abstract

In the study, it was tried to find examples of subjective definitions of Mustafa Ruhi Şirin, in his poems in terms of the feelings and values he has put into the concepts. Also, the source of the information the poet uses when explaining concepts; The types of words to which the concepts explained belong, and the sentences in which these concepts exist Qualitative research methods of the "document review" the research data used as the "content analysis" was resolved. A sample of subjective definition was found in thirty-seven of one hundred eighty-two poems in the four books of the poet. It has been determined that forty-two concepts are subjective. The most defined concepts; "Child" and "me". Within the defined concepts, the elements such as nature and universe, animals, plants, objects, close environment (houses), figures that children are interested in are the front plan. In addition, the meaning of words to children is transferred beyond the dictionary meaning, enriching the world of imagination, emotion and thought, increasing the general culture, and so on. Particularly in the poem language, because the value of the emotional value of the words is on the front panel, it is also important to give more importance to the poetry in the concept teaching.
