Drivers are, without a doubt, one of the most important factors of traffic accidents, which results in a substantial amount of casualties and property damage each year. In today’s democratic countries, drivers receive their trainings in private driving schools, which are audited by the government. The most important component of the driving schools are instructors, training processes and their curricula. However, the training of the instructors can vary by countries. This paper aims to summarize the training processes, curricula, and assessment methods of the schools (Fahrlehrerfachschulen) where instructors were trained.
