Abstract

In the nineteenth century, women are confined to a "private sphere" which is claimed that it belongs to emotions, sacrifices, and family life by a dominant masculinity. She is excluded from public life as much as possible. She is expected to be a "good" wife and mother and to teach to the children “right” values, because only in this way society is thought to be able to attain "ideal" values.
