Abstract

During 1st World War, the Ottoman Press and the public opinion had affirmative attitudes and high enthusiasm towards the Russian Revolution. They had sympathy towards the Bolsheviks because they had promised “peace” during the revolution. The aim of this study is to analyze the news discourse about the Russian Revolution of the newspapers Tanin, İkdam, Tasvir-i Efkâr, Sabah, Vakit which is the main vein of the Ottoman press.
