In mountainous Eastern Anatolia the state of Urartu, which extended over most of eastern Anatolia, northwestern Iran and Armenia during the eighth and sixth centuries B.C. Urartu was in constant conflict with Neo-Assyria Kingdom, many tribes and nomadic peoples in order to survive by the this time, undoubtedly owes the successes of these struggles to powerful armies and superior equipment used in these armies. One of these equipments is undoubtedly the swords which have very advanced features according to the age.
