The increase in violence in schools has become an important social problem. In this study, high school teachers' perceptions of violence, definition of violence in school, causes of violence according to teachers, and measures to prevent violence were tried to be determined. The semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher was used as a data collection tool in the research designed on the basis of the qualitative research approach. The study group of the study consisted of 43 high school teachers working in different schools in Kocaeli province. Descriptive analysis technique was used to analyze the data obtained from the research. In the resarch, teachers defined violance as verbal violance, physical violence and psychological violence. When they refermed to as violence in school, they expressed opinion as. It was found out that as the factors cousing violence, they saw diciplinary problems, teachers mostly talked about the violence incident in the scholls they were working with were mostly almed at the student, and seminars were orgonized and trainings were given among the ones that could be done to prevent violence.
