Abstract

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the opinions of Pedagogical Formation Education Certificate Program Students about Instructional Technology and Material Design course. In this context, qualitative research method was used in the study and data was collected through semi-structured interview forms. In this research, where simple unselected samples are used, participants of the research was selected from students continue to the Pedagogical Formation Education Certificate Program in the fall semester of the 2016-2017 academic year, who take the courses in Instructional Technology and Material Design. A semi-structured interview form consisting of eight open-ended questions prepared by the researcher was used to determine the opinions of the students about the instruction al Technologies and material design course. The findings of the research were interpreted under eight different themes. A direct citation was made in order to give the opinions of the students more effectively. As a result of the interviews, the most important teaching material according to the students was that they were visual and auditory materials, that teaching materials should be used mostly in pre school period; that all students support the use and development of materials in their fields, that there are some factors that make it difficult to design the material namely time, space, material in adequacy, deciding on the material to prepare, lack of cost and skill.
