Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the acceleration results of the elite male athletes in the non-sprinter balanced mesomorph category (353,363,272), the Sprinter, the Sprint National Team (100 m) and the Sprinters running 100m in the Olympics (100m). Somatotype, body composition and acceleration results of the athletes were obtained. The results of the study were analyzed in SPSS 22 statistical analysis program. The results were not statistically significant (p> 0.05). As a result, there was no statistical significance. The participants in the non-sprinter balanced mesomorph group participated in our study were 1.88 ± 0.19 sec. as determined. Sprint National Team preparatory camp (14 May 2015) athletes 1096 ± 0.24 seconds as a result of the acceleration of 10m and the 2008 Beijing Olympics 100m men's athletes in a 10m acceleration 1.85 sec. as determined. When the above results are examined, it is observed that the acceleration of the athletes in the balanced mesomorph category (353,363,272) is much better than the velocity measured in the Sprint National Team preparation camp (-.08 sl) and in 2008 the same as the elite athletes running in Beijing Olympics 100m Men run is the same (+.03 sl).
