THE RULES OF GOOD MANNERS OF MUSICIANS IN THE WORK OF HASAN B. AHMED B. ALİ EL-KÂTİB TİTLED “KAMAL ADAB AL-GHINA” HASAN B. AHMED B. ALİ EL-KÂTİB’İN KEMÂLÜ EDEBİ’L-ĞINÂ ADLI ESERİNDE MÛSİKİŞİNAS ÂDÂBI
Between 11th and 12th centuries were regarded as stagnant periods in terms of music theory. However, recent studies show that this period was not stagnant as it is considered. The encyclopedic work of Hasan b. Ahmet b. Ali el-Katib , Kemâlü Edebi’l-Ğınâ, which estimated that written in the end of the 10th century or in the beginning of the 11th century, has an important role in understanding the musical structure of its time and following times. In this study, after giving information about the author and the work, the author’s views on music and musicians will be discussed in particular because of the wide and rich content of the work.
