Abstract

With the Industrial Revolution, territory of the Ottoman Empire has became one of the main colonial aim of European states. Thriving ruhtless competition has turned into a major catastrophe with World War I. By conditions of war, Ottoman Empire entered the war on the side of Central Powers. Even though Ottoman Empire’s course to entering war is debatable, the war has ended the Ottoman Empire. During the war, Battle of Çanakkale which has happened right beside of the Ottoman capital, made its mark to the both Turkish and world history. The letters which is very impotrant to explain human psychology, have perform a very important task in order to understand and hold up as an example of this battle. Commanders and soldiers of both Allied and Central powers’ letters are of great important for us to understand what happened on the fronts and how was the state of mind of the soldiers. In this study, which’s subject matter is the letters of natives and foreigner soldier and commanders, both native and foreign sources will be scanned and the subject will be written within scientific criteria.
