Abstract

The Erzincan town that constitutes the study area is formed from the whole of the oven which is named with its name in the Upper Euphrates section of the Eastern Anatolia Region. This administrative structure has largely defined geographical conditions. Erzincan is separated from the rest of the region in terms of its various natural and human environment characteristics. Ottoman territory added to its borders XVI. in the first quarter of the century, XX. until the beginning of the century, it has been various times. These census inventories have reached day-today. The aim of the study is to reveal the periodic situation of the population of Erzincan in the Ottoman period as mentioned in the title. In the introduction of the work, the population censuses of the Erzincan town as well as the general population information are mentioned. In the development section, the population of the town center and the villages connected to the Erzincan town was mentioned on the basis of the data of 1516, 1520, 1530, 1591 detailed records, the detailed records of 1642, 1636, the abstract records of 1643, the invented inventory of 1835 and the 1917 secret censuses . Evaluations were made taking into consideration the classification criteria of various dated censuses. Texts have been applied in the text as needed. In the conclusion section, the findings were evaluated.
