Abstract

In this study, the concepts of measure and method were handled with various aspects and mathematical structures were tried to be revealed by examining the measurements of Turkish folk music in the TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Institution) repertory. In the screening model and in the research carried out with a descriptive approach, the sources were examined by an analytical point of view. The time series relations of the measurement variety and the measurements were examined and the measurement groupings were made in this context. The structural states of the measurements in these groups are shown and explained in figures and tables. In addition, repertoire involvement rates and usage prevalence were also given. In this study, simple, compound, faulty and mixed measures are grouped as follows. In simple measure group; 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 8/4 and 9/4 in the compound gauge group; 6/8, 9/8, 12/8, 15/8, 18/8, 21/8, in the mixed measure group; It can be seen that there are 11/8, 12/8, 13/8, 14/8, 15/8, 16/8, 17/8, 18/8, 19 / 8, 20/8, 21/8, 23/8, 25/8, 27/8, 30/8 were included in the measurements. As a result of the research, it is concluded that the beat, time, sequence form and speed of metronome are important factors in determining the measurement structures and measurement groups.
