Abstract

Photography has always been interacted with the art, especially with the art of painting since the invention of camera. Despite the boundaries of painting and photography had determined in the Modern era, they have gained an interdisciplinary dimension when it comes to postmodern era. This situation, which is a reflection of the postmodern era in every field, It has also transformed into a differentiated and eclectic structure in the field of art, which has caused the breaking of existing boundaries. This fracture has also opened the way for the use of all kinds of materials in art. For this reason Photography has entered the art of painting as a purely visual and plastic medium, material. Particularly the deterioration and fragmentation in the artworks which is effective in this period, as a result of Derrida's concept of deconstruction, has made the works of art more audience-oriented. It may be said that these artworks are a reflection of today's human perception. This creates the real questioning area of our study. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between photography and painting in the light of the concept of deconstruction that emerged in the Postmodern era.
