Abstract

The years 1875-1878 of the Ottoman State passed through intense internal and external political events. Political turmoil in the Balkans and relations with European states had a very decisive impact on the country's politics. External developments have been very effective in the separations among parties that struggle in political life. The clues were seen not only when Sultan Abdülaziz was lowered from the throne, but also at Shipyard Conference and the conflict between Sultan Abdülhamit and the Grand Vizier Mithat Pasha. The boundaries of the work were tried to be drawn with the struggle of reformists and traditionists in the Ottoman State life from the period of Sultan Abdülaziz, the Balkan Events and the Shipyard Conference, its management and internal politics effects, and events after the conference. However, this section took up more space the events about a battle between Sultan Abdülhamit and Mithat Pasha, two predominant characters of the period.
