Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes of students who attended history of economy lesson towards the lesson; to examine the relationship between their knowledge level and attitudes towards the lesson; and to see if their their knowledge level and attitudes towards the lesson vary based on their demographics. The study was conducted in 2016-2017 educational year with the participation of 335 sophomore students who attended history of economy lesson at Ömer Halisdemir University. According to the findings of the study, the participants’ level of knowledge is quite high and their attitudes towards the lesson is quite positive. It is found that there is a statistically significant relationship between their knowledge level and attitudes and also the level of knowledge effects their attitudes in a positive way.
