The aim of this research, it is aimed that evaluation of hospital surgical and internal polyclinics by experimental observer appropriateness to JCI accreditation standards. In this research, observation method was used. For preparation of the structured observation "JCI Outpatient Care Area Review Standards" that have been translated to Turkish. She assumed expert observer mission by scanning literature in order to present her opinion related to JCI accrediation standarts awareness and proficiency (n=29). The research was conducted between August 2014-February 2015. Research population constitute surgical and internal polyclinics (n=29) from 400-bed Samsun Training and Research Hospital. The research specialist has made assessment "improve effective communication", "improve the safety of high-alert medications", "ensure correct-site, correct-procedure, correct-patient surgery", "reduce the risk of health care associated infections", " reduce the risk of patient harm resulting from falls"," patient access and assessment", " access to care and continuity of care”, " patient care and continuity of care", " patient clinical records and information management", " anesthesia and surgical care", " infection control and facility", "facility management and safety", " human resource management", " governance, leadership and direction", " corporate and clinical ethics" in the observations form of dimensions. The research specialist determined that the institutation was responsive to reducing the risk of infection associated with health care and patient care and its continuity in the observation form and diligently performed a study. In respect of improving the security of high-risk medications, it was determined that the institution could reach the standards of conformity by approaching the subject with caution.
