The volunteer PE teachers and the randomly selected 723 students from various high schools in Sincan district of Ankara, who took the course, were the sample of the study. Environmental Attitudes Questionnaire and Participation to Environmental Spare Time Activities Questionnaire were used. To analyze the data collected through these instruments, SPSS 15.0 statistical analyses package program is used. Descriptive results are presented through the mean scores and frequency distributions, and inferential results are analyzed through one-way ANOVA, t-test and Pearson Product Moment Correlation tests. Results show that both the PE teachers and the students, who took the course, had positive attitudes towards environment. Although, both the teachers and students stated that they do not spend enough time to participate in environmental spare time activities; they say that they can follow the environmental issues from the media and they try to share their knowledge about the environment with their friends. While a significant negative correlation was found between participation to environmental spare time activities and environmental attitudes for the students, no significant correlation can be found for the teachers.},author={Çağlar TÜRKOĞLU-- Güner EKENCİ},year={2016},journal={The Journal of Academic Social Science}}
