Abstract

The use of mother language in foreign language teaching is a subject that both foreign language educator and scientists studying in the area argue and have collisions. While Direct Method adopts a strict model of not using the mother language, constructivist approach foresees the processing of the new knowledge via existing one. By this way, in this study, the attitudes and the opinions of the students who have education at Akdeniz University School of foreign Languages and the teachers who give foreign language lessons will be tried to put forward in a case study method.
