Abstract

The IV/ X century is one of the most dazzling periods of Islamic thoughts. Ikhwan al-Safa emerged as a religious, political and philosophical movement in those days. The members of this movement are not known exactly. But their opinions, we can learn from their fifty-two treatises, which survived to the hitherto. The subject of these Treatises is “being” and “human”. In view of that, human made up from body and soul. İn this combination, "soul" is an essential element. And the body uses as a source to achieve the objects of the soul. The soul by getting rid of bodies’ sin with death will be raised to heaven or will be fallen to hell. In our study will be depicted the views of Ikhwan al-Safa on the death and the voyage after death. Particularly their views on death and the life after death, doomsday, resurrection, judgment, heaven and hell will be discussed.
