Abstract

Culture is defined as a whole of thoughts and ideas which support sthe rules and approaches to respond the demands and needs of various communities and human groups (Fikretoğlu, 1990:24). Organizations first took place as a human group in the organizations and management literature first in 1980’s and afterwards the former organizational approaches which tends to consider the organizations as mechanical structures yielt to the new approaches which comprehends and underlines the believes, values the main underlying assumptions and finally symbols.Considering that the limited depth of meaning output swhich would have been gained through tthe researches predicted by rational positivist research methods which tends to accept organizations as mechanical structures, corporate culture is discussed within the concept of organizational symbolism.
