States and institutions set ageandas about gender equality inorder to achieve men and women equality in employment and empower women in social life. In Turkey various institutions and public and private organizations set goals and engender structures to ensure gender equality in social life and make policiesparticularly for employment of women and their participation ot work force. Starting from the gendered structure of the labour market in Turkey, this study will discuss the features of women labour and attempts to bring in policy suggestions for policy makers
