THE RADIO LISTENING HABITS AND PREFERECENCE OF MUSIC STYLES OF ISTANBUL RADIO AUDIENCE RADYO DİNLEYİCİSİNİN RADYO DİNLEME EĞİLİMLERİ VE RADYODA YAYINLANAN MÜZİK TÜRÜ TERCİHLERİ İSTANBUL ÖRNEĞİ
Today, radio which has lost its gold days with the invention of TV and then new media, has been a media which takes the less share from advertising expenditures. In this, the change of suplly – demand to media consumption played a big role. With the change of technology the change of life styles has created a change in the consumption habits of the society. In this study, there is a research on the role of radio in the changing of media consumption and the position of music in radio broadcasting. In the research a radio listening habits questioner applied and the consuming style of radio listeners has been scanned in the sample of Istanbul. In the research which the aim is to market the position of music in radio broadcasting there is a conceptual research about radio history and radio broadcasting and references in the previous studies done on that subject. In the second part of the study there has been applied a research to 488 people a questioner exploring radio listening habits. In
