Abstract

Konya has hosted many cultures and civilizations through history. Konya has become one of the most important capitals in cultural tourism because of Maulana Hazrat and Nasreddin Hodja are being in Konya, one of the world's first Christian settlement and sanctuary to the town which is home to Siller. Konya is also an important part of traditional crafts and folk culture tourism values. Whirling dervish, sufi music and folklore are the main folkloric value in Konya. In recent years, there are also positive developments in Konya with respect to the promotion of gastronomic values. Because of Konya containing the culinary cultures of Seljuk, Ottoman and Republican era, Konya is also important in terms of gastronomy tourism. Turkey is ranked to the top three in terms of culinary culture in the world.
