Abstract

Education on values has become an educational concept that has been gaining importance in the recent years. It is a field that has started to take place in the education programs and policies of Turkey and more and more countries. At this point, the approaches and the applications of some countries on the education of values have been comparatively analyzed to compare the content and the status of the education of values in primary education programs with the approaches of the other countries. Therefore the aim of this study to establish how and by which courses are the education values are taught to the students at the primary level education level in some selected countries apart from Turkey and to compare the applications worldwide. It has been observed that the sub themes of the values of the compared countries are shaped in accordance with the sociological, anthropological, geographical and the economic conditions they are in.
