Automotive industry is one of the leading industry in terms of export, value-added, tax revenues and employment in Turkish manufacturing industry. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the structure of the automotive industry in Turkey's foreign trade. 2000-2014 period was used in this study. Two methods were used in this study. Firstly, intra-industry trade structure of the automotive industry was analyzed. Secondly, competitiveness of the automotive industry was analyzed. As a result, it was seen that intra industry trade is high in automotive industry. Also, intra-industry trade is in the form of low-quality vertical intra-industry trade.
