On the other hand, Psychoanalysis is used in order to interpret the relations of cause and effect. When we notice on the contemporary film analysis, we also accept that the films with classical narative become hybrid; the differences between the modern and the post-modern narratives become unclear; main-stream cinema appropriates some properties of counter-cinema. As a result, it is useful to use different methods together because new perspectives can easily occur. In this context, what kind of a classification is suitable for Karanlıktakiler's narrative? As a Turkish film, how does Karanlıktakiler connect with Gothic style? Above all, what does the story tell about the woman sexuality and its negative construction?
