Abstract

Nowadays, research led based on efforts making a common language among Turks and then alienating the language by showing some different features in Turkic accent has become in the spotlight. The best examples of these efforts have surely been both a written and spoken language in the folk. The closest language accents to each other used among the Oghuz language group (or Western Turkic) are the Turkish and Azerbaijani languages based on sound, grammar and sentence structure. These language accents have been evolved after the completion of the period of the Old Anatolian Turkic Period and have revealed itself with their many similarities in sound, language structure and dialects. Facts show shat there were no so major differences among these language accents up to 17th centuries, except minor changes in sounds and verb usage. In order to show such differences in language accents we have chosen some examples from the Turkish and Azerbaijani languages. Words that have been set as examples
