Therefore, in terms of transferring values to children, children’s media is very effective. The aim of the current research is to investigate what universal and local values are handled in Turkish children’s media and how intensive they are stressed and then make some suggestions to create high quality cartoons/animated films. In the current study, the researcher watched and evaluated 3 different series of 11 cartoons published in TRT Çocuk channel. The cartoons watched are the followings: 1) My Dear Brother; 2) Ciciki; 3) Laura’s Star; 4) Elif’s Dreams; 5) Doru; 6) Pepe; 7) Great Wings; 8) Maya the Bee; 9) İbi; 10) Puzzle Tower; 11) Rafadan Tayfa. In the current research, Universal and Local Values Checklist is utilized.
