QUALITY OF PIANO EDUCATION IN INFORMAL MUSIC EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS EDUCATOR AND STUDENT PROFILES YAYGIN MÜZİK EĞİTİMİ KURUMLARINDAKİ PİYANO EĞİTİMİNİN NİTELİĞİ EĞİTİMCİ VE ÖĞRENCİ PROFİLLERİ
In this research, quality of the piano education in non- formal education institutions, educators and student profiles are examined. Research was applied to 174 piano students and 14 piano educators at on going to 11 non- formal music educations institutions in the city of Samsun. Within the research, questionnaire application is conducted in order to data gather. As a result of the research, it is determined that major part of the students are consisted of elementary school students between the age of 5-15, that most of the students receiving piano lesson are female, educators are in good relationship with the students, duration of the classes are between 45 minutes and one hour, students choose the branch of piano as they like it, most of the students have piano in their houses, piano method of Sevinç Ereren is most commonly used one, as a supportive lesson to piano, the education of solfege is offered, educators evaluate the success of students according to the process, in the begi
