Abstract

The aim of this study is to compare certain physical characteristics of the badminton and tennis players who play at college teams. The participants comprise 20 badminton players and 20 tennis players, in total 40 players, who are in the college team. In that study which is a comparing research model, the age, height, weight, age of sports, hand grip strength (right and left), leg strength, vertical jump, anaerobic strength and subcutaneous fat were measured. The youngest of the badminton players is 18 years old and the oldest one is 26 years old; and the average of age is 21,90. However, the youngest tennis players is 19 years old and the oldest one is 26 years old; and the average of age is 23,15. According to the findings of the study, it was not found a statistically significant difference between the right and left grip strengths of the badminton and tennis players (p>0.05).
