Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the empathic skills and indecision skills of pre-service teachers at Department Preschool Education with regards to some variables. In the study, Survey Method were used. The research was conducted to 98 teacher candidates attending preschool educaation programs at the second, and fourth grades in 2014-2015 academic years in Education Faculty of Amasya University. In this research, "Empathic Skill Scale- B Form" which was developed by Dökmen (1988) was used to measure the preservice teachers empathic skill levels and "Personal İndecision Scale" which was developed by Bacanlı (2005) was used to determine indecision skills. The total score of pre-service teachers from scale of empathy skills is significant difference in terms of class level but not in age variables. According to mean score of indecision skills, there is no significant difference between level of age and class. In addition, there is a significant relationship between empathy
