Abstract

Many systematic problems arise at the practice stage of teaching Turkish to the Arabs. First of all, these problems need to be classified as syntax, semantics and morphological problems according to decompositions between two languages. While one person who speaks with Arabic language pronunciation habits is pronouncing Turkish, the deficiencies in the removal of vocal sounds in Turkish are clearly noticeable. One of the most important problems encountered in teaching Turkish to the Arab is the issue of bilingualism. The problems like confusing the sounds at the countries which have bilingualism (Arabic- English) as in the example of Jordan / Egypt -compared to the countries speaking only their native language- are bigger. Especially because of this variable not be able to distinguish between the pronunciation and spelling of similar letters used in English and Turkish is the most significant issue.
