Abstract

Corylus colurna L. exists in disjunctive and gregarious way in eastern part of Eldeniz village of Sivaslı county, on the Bulkaz Mountain (1839m), in the Suçıkan Stream basin between 1390-1619 m elevations. Corylus colurna L., a European- Siberian element, expands in a valley presenting better aura in terms of humidity. Body diameters of Corylus colurna L change between 30-140 cm. Monumental trees are seen. Members of Corylus colurna being very old are destroyed by people. Thus, it is urgent this genetic reserve be taken under protection. In this study Corylus colurna is describe the natural distribution area on the Bulkaz (Bulgaz) mountain. Thus, new contributions have been made to the information related to the plants natural range in our country.
