Abstract

Because bards are the representatives of societies they live in, they reflect the sufferings they undergo, the bliss, joy, yearning and sadness they go through in their poems. One of the topics bards put into words is “war”. In our study, we will try to present how “1974 Cyprus Peace Operation”, which we are celebrating the 41th anniversary this year, influenced the bards who live in the Black Sea Region and how they reflect this in their poems, making use of the work. We will evaluate the topics such as peace, separation, yearning, victory, poverty, etc., which are the results of our main topic “war”, through the examples identified from the poems. In our study, we will try to put forward what “war” means for the people of Cyprus and Anatolia based on the poems of the bards from the Black Sea.
