Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the emotional intelligence and happiness of university students. In this study, to determine emotional intelligence and happiness of college students, three different measurement tools are used. These are: Oxford Happiness Questionnaire, Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale and the Personal Information Form. The original form of Oxford Happiness Scale was developed by Hills and Argyle (2002), the validity and reliability of the Turkish form was developed by Dogan and Sapmaz (2012). It consists of 28 items and 6 " with a Likert -type scale. The original form of Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale Schutte was developed as 33 items by Malouff , Hall, Haggerty , Cooper, Golden and Dornheim (1998). Then Austin, Saklofese , Huang and McKenney (2004) reorganized it as 41 items . The Turkish version of the scale , the measurement validity and reliability were done by Tatar , Tok and Saltukoğlu (2011). It consists of 41 items and 5 " with a Likert -type
