Abstract

The purpose of the study is to discuss a wrong description of scientific knowledge in a textbook which is used by the students who are studying in science, engineering, and other undergraduate programs at universities and who have to take compulsory physics courses, to discuss the use of the textbook and effects and to make a new description for scientific knowledge. The data of this qualitative study were gathered by examining the documents such as books or scientific papers published on the subject with descriptive analysis method. The physics textbook is used internationally and is one of the sources from which both instructors and undergraduates take benefit and which contains a statement that draws attention.
