Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine what misconceptions are in the unit of ‘the travel of Turkish History’ with 7th grade students’ own caricatures in Social Studies lesson. The working group in the study consists of 7th grade students, 27 girls and 23 boys, total 50 students in 2014-2015 academic year spring semester in Muğla. Case study technique among qualitative research design is used in this study. Open ended questions (unconfigured) and students’ caricatures are benefited from collecting the data. The scale is separated from three chapter: introduction, progress, and enhancement, proper to acquisition of concept. The concepts of introduction, progress and enhancement levels are given to students to draw caricature with the aim of describing the caricatures in written to collect the data.
