Halide Edip questionizes marriage, love, woman-man relations in her works; Seviye Talip (1910), Handan (1912) ve Son Eseri (1913). Ayşe Kulin’s novel Handan, published in 2014, is the last book in author’s serial which had started with Gizli Anların Yolcusu in 2011. It could be easily seen that Kulin has been inspired from Adıvar when writing Handan. In the same time author, have two Handan faces each other, and with this comparison, puts forward that there has been no progress in woman’s social position, despite a century in woman issue.
