Abstract

In this study, the concept of word of mouth marketing, based on the marketing concept, was examined from various angles. Word of mouth marketing level and conditions affecting discussed; try to determine which variables this concept is bound to. Word of mouth marketing is based on advices about goods and services used by consumers to other consumers. This concept responds to the needs of marketers and consumers as reliable marketers; where it has lost the confidence of consumers' media and in an environment, where every minute consumers are bombarded by advertising. Over time, marketers have discovered that the easiest way to sell a product is that; to cater to the basic needs and hidden weakness of human psychology abaout purchasing. Word of mouth marketing concepts explained; application and functioning of the concept in Turkey and World were discussed. The nature, spread roads, species and like this issues of word of mouth marketing has been mentioned.
