Abstract

Having written his first two novel basically with a realistic point of view, Orhan Pamuk has laid himself open to the intertextual effects exhibiting a characteristic of metafiction in Beyaz Kale and subsequent novels, written post modern novels which are pluralist and toying with history. His first novel exemplifying this new tendency of novelism is “Beyaz Kale”, a short historic novel. As for Kara Kitap, the novel he wrote subsequent to Beyaz Kitap, it’s so “post modern” as to be demonstrated as “ poetica of postmodenism”. Just as Kara Kitap, Yeni hayat, on the other hand, is a novel in which postmodern games are used intensely . The novel which can be count as a sign of post modern effect’s decrease in Orhan Pamuk novelty is “Benim Adım Kırmızı”, a fantastic detective novel. After this novel, it can be said that post modern effect began to decrease and the novels “Kar” and “Masumiyet Müzesi” are more tematic novels. In our research, we are going to attempt to identify the post mode
