As a result of the Bolshevik revolution which occured in Russia in 1917, hundred of thousands of Russian citizens who escaped from Bolsheviks refuged in the Ottoman country. These Russian citizens brought large quantities of paper rubles which was printed in the period of Tsarist Russia and was disappeared the validity with Bolshevik revolution. These rubles which did not have validity in world markets was collected by some awake moneychangers from refugees and launched to Ottoman money market. That was seen Ottoman citizens who don’t know this situation, exchange their golds by this rubles.
